Ricerchimica is a prominent healthcare advisory boutique supporting companies of all sizes and capabilities to achieve their strategic objectives through corporate and business development deals.

Founded in 1973 by Pietro Maschio, former business manager in various multinational companies, Ricerchimica Srl initially was only a platform for pharma trading with a particular focus in the API market but since 1990, it has become the leading pioneer in asset management, licensing, and M&A in the local market. The years following that has seen its expansion in the international market, opening their own offices in both Barcelona and London.

Ricerchimica Srl has grown to become an organisation of experienced and successful people who are committed to sharing their own experiences and knowledge of the markets and their technological and regulatory know-how to assist clients through the entire process of its projects.

Having studied Chemistry at the University of Perugia, Pierfrancesco Maschio, CEO of Ricerchimica Srl has always been present in the pharmaceutical industry, with over 30 years of experience in the field. With its core business being asset management and licensing, it was he who placed Ricerchimica in the map of other international companies dealing in life sciences in 1995. While Pierfrancesco has made several collaborations with well-known multinational corporations such as EY and Plexus Ventures, he continues to foster Ricerchimica, not only in Europe but also in the Middle East, United Kingdom and the United States. Pierfrancesco is currently both a shareholder and on the board of directors of numerous other companies in the same field. He is also a member IAB (Italian Angels for Biotech)

Integrating the 35 years of the management of Ricerchimica with our familiarity of the global market, we have the capability to successfully manage asset transactions such as acquisitions and divesting operations, company mergers and acquisitions, companies start up.

Our mission is to integrate the knowledge of the main specific areas of project management through a transparent and collaborative approach where the client is involved in an active role in the strategic definition and the decision-making process.

Oriented to success, our goal is based on a defined process covering all the steps involved with transactions and new developments. Starting even from a single, small idea, we build up the entire process with the principal focus being that of learning the needs of our clients, sharing our solutions, and jointly starting the process. All in all, our aim is to reach the objectives defined as quickly and efficiently as possible.
